Client Need:
PepsiCo needed off the shelf commercial computers to be installed in mobile workstations at an Australian processing plant.
Solution:
Intex collaborated with PepsiCo's IT to customise the Intex IP66 Mobile Spyder enclosure to encase an off the shelf PC for mobile workstations. Internal fans were used to control the temperature and keyboard draw.
Result:
The customised SPYDER product allowed the PCs to be fully mobile, easily moved from station to station. Given their IP66 rating, the protected PCs were not in danger when the plant was washed down and they could be wheeled away after use.
